Review: Vector tha Viper unleashed the Viper on his new song, Gunshots

Vector tha Viper

It takes courage to voice your opinion on an issue when everyone around you is silent on the matter.

Nigerian rapper, Vector tha Viper exhibited a lot of courage by turning on the microphone to address some issues going on in Nigeria in his new song titled "Gunshots".

"F–k it, I'mma say it how i feel it', he says in Gunshots before going straight to register his dissatisfaction with the government.

Vector accuses the government of being indirectly responsible for Nigerians being sold as slaves in Libya. He notes that If the government had made the living conditions in Nigeria good, no one would be travelling out in search of greener pastures.

He went futher to remind government officials, including the president, Muhammadu Buhari, who travel out of Nigeria when they have health issues that we have hospitals here in Nigeria.

"The President Is Flying Out
Everybody Is Flying Out
But We Have Hospital Here Too
I Think You Should Try Dem Out" - Vector raps in Gunshots.

Tha Viper didn't spare the Nigeria Police Force Special Anti-Robbery Squad better known as SARS.

Isn't it ironic that the Police who is supposed to protect Nigerians are the ones brutalizing them?

Vector dares them to drop their guns and see if Nigerians won't beat them up in a one on one fight. But the rapper discouraged Nigerians from doing that, saying a violent revolt won't solve the problem.

All these issues and others, he addressed lyrically in a well delivered one-verse rap.

I hope "Gunshots" gets to the authorities and that they will understand the message the song is passing, which is: Nigerians are fed up and want them to step up or else...

Kudos to Vector for having the courage to speak up for average Nigerians, especially for the Nigerian youths.

The song was produced by ace music producer, Samclef.

Have you listened to the song? What's your take on it?
